Gallery Wall

A great way to style mismatched prints is in a large gallery wall. If the whole space is mismatched it will seem more intentional than just two prints not matching. Hang this gallery wall in a contemporary living room over in a large space such as a hallway or stairwell.

Sets

If you're more limited for space try to have at least one set. For example if there are three pieces, try to have two of the pieces match either through subject matter, size or frame.

Subject matter

If you have quite a few framed prints to hang, try matching the subject matter for example a family photo gallery. It's a good idea to stick to a theme to make the wall seem intentional, such as all black and white pieces.

Decor

If you're hanging mismatched frames, lean into the eclectic style and use mismatched furniture and decor. Bring the frame colours into the space through decor elements like lamps and chairs.

Alternate Colours

Don't put the same colour frames right beside each other. If you have three pieces, two matching frames and one odd one out, hand the odd one in the centre. In a gallery wall, mix the frames and sizes to create a more organic feeling.
